It is simple: instead of you travelling to a salon, one artist travels to you. They arrive with a folding setup, a lamp, sterilised tools and the products for your service, and they work in the room you have already checked into. Nails start at 250 MAD, hair at 350 MAD, evening makeup at 550 MAD. The booking is the same in a suite or a small double room.
Most appointments run from 45 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on what you have booked. A gel manicure is quick. A blow-dry plus makeup before a night out takes longer. You tell the artist the look and the time you need to be ready, and they plan backwards from there.
At a Marrakech hotel: how it runs
Big hotels in Hivernage and along Avenue Mohammed VI see visitors coming and going all day, so this is usually the easy case. When you book, give the hotel name and your room number. The artist arrives, signs in at the front desk if the hotel asks, and comes up to you. Some hotels ring the room first to confirm you are expecting someone, which takes a minute.

At a riad in the medina: a little different

You do not need to turn your room into a salon. The artist brings the kit. What helps is small, and you almost certainly have it already.
